Woodward and Bernstein gut-level did. The truest writers always do ~ follow the voice within, the one that pushes, edges, urges, quantum leaps all the farther-further . . . to the splendid way hunch/instinct/intuit holler-shouts out, "HEY ~ DO IT!".
Do you remember how Carl and Bob would do it ~ interrogate in bullseye precision to the aim of their well honed pen points getting-to-plain-truth theories? They outwardly presupposed as if this-was-a-fact-Jack, and even if your name wasn't Jack, well, if you weren't predisposed to dispute what they'd supposed, the fact held . . . firm and fast.
How do you do it?
Get to the truth of what matters in what/how you write?

Some hard-earned advice: Do NOT confuse "the voice within" with any of those other voices, like the one telling you to push that old lady off the platform...
ReplyDeleteI heard the lady is doing OK now Ian == she caught the A-train, and is taking life for a fassssssst ride now, and will remain on track.
ReplyDelete~ Absolutely*Kate, still hearing the mutter-mumble of "the voice within",
