Theatre for the Mind,
WHERE WRITERS' RAVES ARE READERS' FAVES

About that spectacular photo way back up there . . . Amazing Balloon Aerialist Performance:

Before you pass this image by, thinking it is an abstract or Photoshopped creation, look closer. This zoom shot from very far away shows an aerialist performing like a trapeze artist, suspended from giant balloons filled with helium and tethered. The performer had an act that lasted about 15 minutes near the finale of the All Souls Procession, but one had to look closely to see what was happening. This was off to the south of the main stage area as the crane lifted the traditional urn to the pedestal that would soon be ablaze, taking the urn's load of wishes, memories, messages, and prayers for All Souls to a fiery ceremonial finish.

Happy Birthday to At The Bijou! Has it only been a year? Seems I've been hitting the matinees here since I could get in for a child's admission. It's been a wonderful year Katie*Girl and you tireless effort to promote such a great and growing group of authors is to be applauded! Standing O from the balcony, second row!

Any previews of coming attractions?

Well Har -- I'm glad you asked that question. Seems you can get anything you want at Alice's Restaraunt ('ceptin' Alice) ... THIS YEAR THE ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FEAST IS TAKIN' PLACE AT THE BIJOU!!!

Yep - feather that gobbler up over on the Group W bench for much more insight than a simple case of blind justice. Mosey on back, 'round the railroad track this weekend and see what RockStar Interviewer, inimitable author Susan Cross has to say with none other than ARLO GUTHRIE.

From centerstage spots to where you hide all your contraband up in the balcony Har - you heard it echo - See you this weekend - maybe some football fellers may bake pumpkin pies again too. Mebbe.

AT THE BIJOU wouldn't be how it hoots and hollers wit'out what'all you've done to the place. You *click in* to how much action you stirred up? YOWZA! Love'ya CowboySurfer ... and all your tangly yarns ~ Absolutely Katie*Girl

Kate-

At The Bijou has been a terrific ride. Kudos and congratulations, dear Kate. May the second year be as interesting, productive, challenging and glorious as the first.

This was quite a production, Kate.
There is enough to read here for a year, especially if the archives are read. Allow me to say you have done an outstanding job with the Bijou. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU AND ALL THAT HAVE PARTICIPATED.

Happy 1st birthday! Now...where's the hootch that Ant's been hiding? I want to toast to a great 2nd year!

Many happy returns Kate! Happy Birthday to the best show on Earth!

I saw a dapper hat. It was classy. And the wink that came with it was warm.

I heard toasts *clink*. It was exhilarating.

I watched Laura Eno get a hand up from Jeanette Cheezum to reach the higher hootch Ant hides when he presides at The Lucky Shot, our little pub away in promotional publishing worlds, AT THE BIJOU.

I heard Mr V say, "Man oh Man" and the Broadway babe, Debbie, ask for directions to where the best curtain calls are hailed. And then ~ well then Carrie Clevenger hitched her hootch glass to the stars that you all are.

And I knew . . . I was home.
There's no place like AT THE BIJOU.

Happy Birthday Bijou! Quite a lot of 'damage' you've wrought here in such a short time. It's always a party here, a constant to count on. Hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Peace...
