RAT PACK MYSTERIES & ROBERT J RANDISI PROLIFERATE ~ An Absolutely*Kate Interview with the BigGuy!

RAT PACK MYSTERIES PROLIFERATE
AS DOES ~ ROBERT J RANDISI
So, I asked him ~

Uh, Mr Randisi, RJR, Bob, Pally ~

CURIOUSITY OF THE KATE SAILS ON
What do you write while multi-cross'currenting your works as RAT PACK MYSTERY#6 is undergoing the publication process?
How many books / collabs / research / concepts fly around your office or coffee house or favorite watering hole all at the same time?

NUTTIN' LIKE ROBUST MOMENTS.
I had a cup o'joe.
I had several. I knew RJR was meeting wit'some Hollywood types on Rat Pack business, and I didn't wanta pester. Now there's a word, pester. Goes back to -- WAIT! Here comes somethin' under my door. Guess he saw my light on late too. Funny thing about writers and the night. Man oh man, what a swell guy. He's no run-o-the-mill Clyde. Class act, baby.

Thanks Mr Randisi, RJR, Bob, Pally.
Gosh, I love it when I get to call him Pally. I respect Randisi like the way I wear my own fedora - at a rakish angle, with style, panache, moxie. World needs more moxie. And always more pages of Randisi.

ROBERT J RANDISI, CLASS ACT
Kate, Here are your answers:

While waiting for Rat Pack books to be published I'm usually working on a western. I write one a month so I'm never at a loss for work.

All my research and "concepting" is pretty much done in my office, at my desk.

My desk is usually stacked with open books, or with pages printed out from the computer.  I pretty much have my own research library behind me, especially when it comes to Westerns. But if there's something I need that's not there, I can usually find it on the Web.

I'm also usually working on a proposal for some kind of new mystery series, or stand alone novel. I have many books planned well ahead of time. I've never been able to afford writer's block.

However, while all this is going on there's always a Rat Pack plot going on in the back of my mind .  I'm planning to use JFK's assassination and Frank Jr.'s kidnapping in the same book, as they occurred weeks apart. Must've been a really tough time for Frank.

                                                                                 RJR

Yes, I agree. From all I've read and researched it was the most gut-wrenching time a friend and father would ever huddle through yet have to have his tough smarts honed and ready. You're the man to cue the sensations to that era of the world and how ramifications could've shook down. I thank you again for the swell time you're sharing with us AT THE BIJOU and our RATPACKREVUE. Glad you're enjoying the popcorn, trust you're digging our authors' shows, but there are some of those with yet more incisive queries into the heaps and piles of drive and inspirations spilling the spiel of your prolific works. I'll slide another question under your door when the light's on.

Another excellent installment and I love your setup too. The Frank Jr and JFK combo sounds like a great one.

Excellent - love the stories behind the stories, so the JFK/Frank Jr combination should be a great read.

"I'm planning to use JFK's assassination and Frank Jr.'s kidnapping in the same book, as they occurred weeks apart."

That's both awesome and brilliant at the same time...
