Whoa - I might be mistaken but the marquee looks eerily similar to that of the old Capitol Theater in downtown Passiac, NJ. Home to many a burlesque show in the 20's and 30's, porn in the 60's, and rock and roll events in the 70's.......

RESPONSE #1 ~ Whoa back, Kev ~ how would YOU know that 60's scene?

RESPONSE #2 ~ Well, we wanted to promo a lead with a former establishment of renown that Jeanette was a former headliner at . . .

RESPONSE #3 ~ Doggone it, "it fit the feel", but I'm going to look it up and get back to you. So many of the theatre photos we use AT THE BIJOU are based on identifiable landmarks. But yours sure sounds like it has *historee* Mr Michaels. Care to illuminate?

Sadly, I'm old enough to have passed through the 60's, although I had absolutely no knowledge of porn....really. It was all about Spiderman, Captain America, and sports (it wasn't until the end of the decade that the Brady girls came along and got my motor running....well, maybe not Cindy).

But the rock and roll of the 70's - I was there for some of the best (from Charlie Daniels to the Stones to a bunch of acts we all thought would go on to fame and fortune but probably never made it beyond the one hit wonder stage).

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.....

Well Kev, your reminisce was so grand I didn't want to tarnish . . . but it turns out this particular theatre marquee also hung over memories in Greenville, Tennessee, built aroud 1934 ... prior to porn.

I too rock on to the music memories you pulled forth. Thanks for the share of the story you had to stick to. ~ Absolutely*Kate
