"JUST DESSERTS" as NOVEMBER goes NOIR ~ AT THE BIJOU

broken hopes and dreams,
and stars that shoot straight through,

Thanks be Given to our

I'll cheat here and lump all the current
short story writers I like into one*

Yes Eric, your wife the pastry chef, when you whine long enough,
creates cookies with butterscotch chips, chocolate chips and pecans.
Her recipe is safe, but munch on.

*Please Note:MANY of our Noir Authors have embellished their reasonings of 'influence'. You'll find their intellect and insight in their ensuing interviews. I've included Eric's logic though; It sums up a collective voice:   ERIC: "Reading shorts on the web and in anthologies has been a real eye opener for what works and what doesn't work. And I do definitely find that reading what doesn't work (for me) is as educational and influential to my own writing as reading something I like. I'd much rather avoid a style I don't like than emulate one I do."

Graham Smith

Every author I've ever read
for the love of reading and the way
they unknowingly taught me

But today . . . you asked for a hot fudge sundae.
I deliver, Pal, to the cheery cherry, toppin' it off!
