GONE ~ By Jelena Vencl Ohlrogge

GONE
By ~ Jelena Vencl Ohlrogge

You are crying, screaming and howling, but no tears, not a single movement can hatch from your plastic-infused botoxed mask. You look present to an inexperienced passer-by, but you are fading. You are ethereal, transparent and absent; absent as I am from your life and your thoughts; your blank thoughts that could not retain me with any kind of magic superglue or sheer will. I am gone. Gone. I erased myself from everything that had you even close to its existence and now I can stop holding my breath, I can be weak and alone and start healing.

As first run elsewhere . . . but e'er a part of her, AT THE BIJOU

Jelena? What do I say about Swedish royalty? (Well, she should be) ~ That she cares in ways her words then tell her, that she has depths of perception which show her which way they choose to venture. Fortunately for us, her readers, the enigmatic Ms Vencl Ohlrogge follows e'er that tendril of teasing voice within . . . for once let out, it stirs both senses and sensibilities.

Jelena ran off with her mother's high heels at age 2, strutted her stuff into an MCsi in electronics, used her IT-IQ to spot trouble when it tried to rumble into 6 Sentences (earning my eternal devotion), and once uttered this from a rooftop:

“Progress occurs either by sheer accident
or is brought through dissatisfaction.
So, never be satisfied. Or – have a lot of accidents.”
( I may have made the rooftop part up but not the uttering. ~ A*K )

THANK*YOU lovely Jelena for honouring us once more AT THE BIJOU, ever one of your extra American homes . . . for many would let you in and commence the wine to begin to pour. In the meantime folks, understand more Jelena at MISS UNDERSTOOD or view her early AT THE BIJOU piece, Androids Can Be Bored in Pulp Metal Magazine, She's a page-turner alright and appears in the March issue of Jeffrey Callico's Negative Suck.

*Clink* to your happiness HERE vs GONE.
